Latitude Five is an investment and advisory firm operating in Africa and focusing primarily on high growth sectors of particular relevance in Africa and areas of expertise of the founding partners, each having more than twenty years of European and African professional experience in real estate, infrastructure, mining and/or private equity.
Latitude Five was set up in 2012 when two individual consultancies merged to offer clients world-class advisory services directly from expert teams based in Africa. In service of its clients, Latitude Five engages with a strong network of specialised local firms in each of the countries where it operates, and has built a strong and extensive network of associates in all professional services.
Latitude Five and its associates work in English and French, across Francophone and Anglophone countries, often playing the role of cultural interface as well as technical and strategy adviser to transaction participants and decision-makers.

Real Estate and Infrastructure
Ivan Cornet is co-founder and managing partner of Latitude Five
where he is in charge of real estate and infrastructure.
Ivan assists international and local investors active in Africa,
providing market intelligence and identifying off market opportunities, as well as structuring commercial and financial transactions.
With more than twenty years of structured finance experience in Europe and Africa as a lawyer, an investor and a financier, Ivan has extensive practice in underwriting and executing complex, structured transactions in real estate and infrastructure, and a complete understanding of the specificities of emerging and frontier markets. Transactions have included acquisitions, asset sales, construction and renovation financing, refinancing and joint ventures.
Ivan Cornet is a Chartered Surveyor (MRCIS) with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). He holds a business law degree and a Master in European Business law (LL.M) from the University of Brussels as well as an INSEAD Master in Business Administration (MBA) and an Islamic Finance Qualification issued by CISI (London) and Ecole Supérieure des Affaires (Beirut). He is called to the bar in Brussels and Paris.
Mining and Mining Services
Ludivine Wouters is co-founder and managing partner of Latitude Five where she is in charge of mining and mining services. Ludivine assists exploration and mining companies in the conduct of corporate development programmes including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, divestment, restructuring and equity or debt fundraising, as well as title and commercial negotiations. She also works with select mining services firms expanding their business across Africa.
Ludivine has experience in political risk insurance within a Lloyd’s insurance syndicate, and significant legal experience in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions and capital markets with leading international firms in Paris; she also worked for an emerging markets investment bank in London, focusing on metals and mining clients, particularly African juniors.
Ludivine Wouters holds a Master in Business Law from Université Panthéon Assas (Paris II) and a JD in Business Law from Université Panthéon Sorbonne (Paris I). She is called to the bar in Paris. In 2013, she was nominated by her peers to be one of 100 Global Inspirational Women in Mining.
